What does the LR003152LR oil seal do?
The LR003152LR oil seal seals the front differential where the drive flange exits the axle case on the Freelander 2 and Range Rover Evoque L538. It runs against the output flange, retaining axle oil and excluding dirt and water at the front axle casing.
When should this front axle flange seal be replaced?
Replace the LR003152LR whenever the front drive flange or driveshaft is removed, or if oil weeps from the front axle case on the Freelander 2 or Evoque L538. Once the seal lip hardens or splits it no longer holds differential oil in.
How does the LR003152LR differ from the LR003152?
The LR003152LR is the Genuine Land Rover front differential flange seal, while the LR003152 is the OEM Corteco equivalent for the same fitment. Both suit the 6-speed AWF21 auto and M66 manual AWD driveline on these models.
