The LR003813 rocker cover gasket seals the rocker (valve) cover to the cylinder head on the Range Rover L322 4.4L M62 B44 V8 petrol engine. It contains engine oil within the valve train, serving the bank of cylinders 5 to 8.
Does this gasket cover the whole engine?
No, this gasket seals only the cylinder 5-8 bank rocker cover on the M62 B44 V8. The opposite bank (cylinders 1-4) uses its own rocker cover gasket, so order both if you're resealing both valve covers on the Range Rover L322.
What are the signs this rocker cover gasket needs replacing?
A failing rocker cover gasket typically shows as oil seepage or drips down the side of the M62 V8 on the Range Rover L322, sometimes with a burning-oil smell if oil reaches the exhaust. Replace the gasket to stop the leak from the valve cover joint.
