What is the LR011173 door release cable for?
It's the internal door release cable in the front door lock controls on the Range Rover L322 (2010-2012). It links the interior door release handle to the door latch, transferring handle movement to release the latch from inside.
Why does the cable fail?
Internal release cables typically stretch, fray or detach over time, so the inside handle stops opening the door. On the L322 this is a common front-door lock control fault, and replacing the cable restores inside handle operation.
