Frequently asked questions

What does the LH lambda sensor do?
The LH lambda (oxygen) sensor measures oxygen in the exhaust on the left-hand bank of the 5.0 V8 petrol engine. The ECM uses its signal to control the air/fuel mixture for that bank.
Which vehicles use this LH lambda sensor?
This LH sensor fits the 5.0 V8 petrol (AJ133) in the Discovery 4 (2010-2016) and Range Rover Sport L320 (2010-2013), NA and supercharged. Petrol V8 only, not diesel.
What's the difference between the LH and RH lambda sensor?
This is the LH (left-hand bank) sensor. The 5.0 V8 has one sensor per bank, so confirm which side you need. The RH sensor is a separate part number.
What are the signs the LH lambda sensor is failing?
A failing LH lambda sensor typically brings on the engine warning light, rough running, higher fuel use, or a fault code for the left bank. On the 5.0 V8 it upsets fuelling on that bank.
