Stabilisatorstangkoppeling voor (Drop Link) in het voorwielophangingssysteem.

De stabilisatorstangkoppeling verbindt het buitenste uiteinde van de voorste stabilisatorstang met de fusee via kogelgewrichten aan elk uiteinde, waardoor de zijdelingse belasting van de stang naar de ophanging wordt overgebracht tijdens het nemen van bochten. Het vangt de verticale beweging van de veerpoot op, terwijl de torsiekoppeling van de stabilisatorstang behouden blijft. Slijtage in de gewrichten uit zich doorgaans als een klop- of rammelgeluid vanuit de voorwielophanging op oneffen ondergronden.

What does this Suspension Link do?

It's the front anti-roll bar drop link, connecting the outer end of the front anti-roll bar to the hub carrier via ball joints. It transmits lateral load from the bar into the front suspension on the Discovery 5.

How many drop links do I need?

Two are required per vehicle, one each side. They're sold individually, so order a pair to replace both sides together and keep the anti-roll bar balanced.

Will this fit a Discovery 4?

No. This is the Discovery 5 (L462, 2017+) link with an upgraded design. It's a different chassis to the Discovery 4 LR014145 family, so don't use the two interchangeably.

What are the signs the drop link needs replacing?

Wear in the ball joints typically shows as a knock or rattle from the front suspension over uneven surfaces. Replacing both sides together is usual practice.
