Acting on engine control module signals, it controls variable valve timing on the exhaust side of the 2.0L 16V TiVCT turbo petrol engine in the Range Rover Evoque L538.
Is this the intake or exhaust VVT solenoid?
This is the exhaust-side VVT solenoid. The intake camshaft uses a separate solenoid, so check which side you need before ordering. It fits the 2.0L 16V TiVCT turbo petrol engine (240PS and Gen2) in the Range Rover Evoque L538, Discovery Sport and Range Rover L405, not diesel.
What are the signs the exhaust VVT solenoid is faulty?
A faulty exhaust VVT solenoid typically triggers a check engine light with variable valve timing fault codes, rough idle, reduced performance, or poor economy.
