The front door secondary seal is a weatherstrip mounted on the body aperture of the Discovery 4. It forms a second sealing line around the front door opening, working with the primary seal to keep out water, draught and road noise.
How is the secondary seal different from the primary door seal?
The secondary door seal fits on the body side of the front door aperture and adds a sealing line inboard of the primary seal. The primary seal carries the main weather sealing, while this secondary seal reduces wind noise and water ingress on the Discovery 4.
