Frequently asked questions

What is the LR055291LR suspension arm bush used for?
The LR055291LR is the rear hydraulically damped bush (hydrabush) pressed into the front lower suspension arm. This fluid-filled bush isolates road, braking and cornering loads at the rear arm mounting, holding front wheel alignment and ride refinement.
What is the difference between a hydrabush and a plain rubber bush?
A hydrabush is fluid-filled, so it damps larger suspension movements more progressively than a plain rubber bush. It is fitted at the rear mounting of the front lower arm specifically to control deflection under braking and cornering.
How many of these bushes are needed?
These hydrabushes are normally replaced in pairs, one per side, so front alignment and ride stay balanced. Renewing just one can leave the car feeling uneven under braking.
How do I confirm this fits my vehicle?
It fits the Discovery 3 (2005-2009) with B6 level armouring from VIN 9A000001, Discovery 4 (2010-2016), and Range Rover Sport (2010-2013) from VIN AA000001. Use your VIN to confirm, especially the armouring note on Discovery 3.
