What does the front vented brake disc do?

The front vented brake disc is the rotor the brake pads clamp against to slow the Land Rover Discovery Sport (2015+) and Range Rover Evoque (2012-2018). Internal vanes between the friction faces draw cooling air through the disc to dissipate heat and resist brake fade.

How many front brake discs do I need?

Two front brake discs are fitted per vehicle on the Discovery Sport and Evoque, one each side. This disc is supplied individually, so order a pair to renew the full front axle set and keep braking even side to side.

Is this front disc side-specific?

This front brake disc isn't side-specific. It's symmetrical and fits either the left- or right-hand front corner on the Discovery Sport (2015+) and Evoque (2012-2018), which is why one part covers both sides of the axle.
