Which Land Rovers does this EGR valve fit?
It fits the Defender Td5 (1987-2006), Discovery 2 Td5 (1998-2004) and Freelander 1 2.0L L-Series diesel (1997-2006, up to VIN YA999999). The L-Series Freelander application is limited to that VIN ceiling, so confirm your chassis number before ordering.
What are the signs a Td5 or L-Series EGR valve needs replacing?
A failing EGR valve typically clogs with soot and carbon, sticking open or closed. On Td5 and L-Series diesels that usually shows as rough idle, hesitation, smoke or an EGR-related fault code. A seized valve can also trigger limp mode until it's replaced.
Is the EGR valve a DIY fitment?
