The bonnet insulation bracket retains the bonnet insulation pad against the underside of the bonnet on the Land Rover Defender. It holds the sound-deadening and heat-insulating mat in position over the engine bay, stopping it sagging or detaching onto hot components below.

Several bonnet insulation brackets are typically used across the bonnet to hold the pad flat, so quantity depends on how many original ones remain. They are usually sold individually. Check how many of your existing brackets are broken or missing before ordering, since they often perish with age and heat.

This bracket sits on the underside of the Land Rover Defender bonnet panel, clamping the insulation mat to it within the engine bay. It belongs to the body and bonnet trim. If your insulation pad is drooping toward the engine, missing or broken brackets are the usual cause.
