What is the gearbox tunnel cover?
The gearbox tunnel cover is a moulded rubber cover that fits over the Defender transmission tunnel around the gear and transfer levers. It gives a finished interior surface and adds some insulation against transmission heat and noise.
Which gearbox does this tunnel cover suit?
This tunnel cover is shaped for the Defender LT77 gearbox and the lever positions of that box. Vehicles with the later R380 gearbox typically use a differently shaped cover, so check which gearbox you have before ordering.
Does this cover the footwells as well?
No, this cover fits the transmission tunnel only, not the footwells. It sits over the tunnel around the gear and transfer levers, so you'll need separate footwell mats or covers if you want to line the floor areas too.
