MXC9587 - Waterdamscherm – LH

The MXC9587 is the left-hand rear side door water shield on the Land Rover Defender. It fits between the inner door skin and the trim panel, forming a barrier against water that gets past the window seal and directing it down inside the door to drain.

The waterdam panel sits inside the rear side door, between the metal inner skin and the door trim card. It separates the door's wet side from the dry side, so rain that passes the window seal drains down the door rather than soaking the trim or reaching the cabin.

Without an intact waterdam panel, water passing the window seal reaches the door trim and cabin, causing damp, musty smells and trim damage. On the Defender it's commonly torn or left off after door trim or window regulator work, so it's worth renewing while the trim is off.

This MXC9587 is the left-hand rear door waterdam panel. The right-hand door uses the matching MXC9586. They're handed to suit each door, so order by the side you're working on. Both fit the Defender rear side doors, 1987-2006.
