Frequently asked questions

What is the NTC2826 heater inlet hose used for?
The NTC2826 heater inlet hose carries hot engine coolant into the heater matrix on the inlet side of the cabin heating circuit. It's a Genuine Land Rover part for the Range Rover Classic with the 2.4L and 2.5L four-cylinder turbo diesel, and the later VM diesel.
Where on the vehicle does this heater hose sit?
This heater hose connects the engine coolant feed to the inlet side of the heater matrix. It typically runs from the engine across to the heater box on the bulkhead, feeding warm coolant so the matrix can heat air entering the cabin.
What are the signs the heater inlet hose needs replacing?
Watch for coolant weeping at the hose ends, a soft or perished feel, or a sweet coolant smell in the cabin. Rubber coolant hoses typically harden and crack with age and heat cycling. A failed hose can lose coolant and cut cabin heat.
