Frequently asked questions

What does the NTC2834 heater return hose do?
The NTC2834 heater return hose returns engine coolant from the heater matrix back to the engine, completing the cabin heating loop. It's a Genuine Land Rover coolant hose for the Range Rover Classic with the 2.4L and 2.5L four-cylinder turbo diesel and the later VM diesel.
Where is the heater return hose located?
The heater return hose connects the outlet side of the heater matrix back to the engine coolant circuit. It typically runs from the heater box on the bulkhead back toward the engine, carrying coolant out of the matrix to keep the heating loop circulating.
How do I know if the heater return hose needs replacing?
Look for coolant seeping at the connections, a hardened or cracked hose body, or coolant loss with weaker cabin heat. Coolant hoses typically perish over years of heat cycling. Replacing a tired return hose during a coolant service helps avoid a sudden leak.
