NTC4059LR - Uitlaatdemper achter

The NTC4059 is the rearmost silencer in the exhaust system. It sits downstream of the catalyst and attenuates exhaust noise before the gas exits at the tailpipe. It's fitted to Range Rover Classic V8 petrol models with a catalyst, and it's a genuine Land Rover part, sold individually.

Rear silencers typically fail through internal corrosion and external rust, since they sit at the cool, damp end of the exhaust where condensation collects. Signs include a louder, raspier note, rattles from broken internal baffles, or visible perforation. A blowing silencer usually means replacement rather than repair.

It fits Range Rover Classic V8 petrol with catalyst, built 1986 to 1991 up to chassis HA610293 and VIN EA351846. The catalyst and VIN cutoff matter, since non-catalyst and later builds typically used a different rear silencer. Check your VIN against EA351846 to confirm.
