De luchtveer vervangt de conventionele spiraalveer en gebruikt een onder druk staande rubberen balg om de carrosserie te ondersteunen en de rijhoogte te handhaven. Hij wordt gemonteerd tussen de veerpoten van de voorwielophanging en de as. Er zijn twee eenheden nodig om de vooras compleet te maken.
