Intercooler voor het turbogeladen 2.7L TDV6 diesel laadluchtsysteem. Het zit tussen de turbocompressor en het inlaatspruitstuk en koelt de gecomprimeerde inlaatlucht nadat de turbo deze heeft verwarmd, waardoor de laaddichtheid toeneemt voor een efficiëntere verbranding en de inlaattemperaturen binnen de grenzen blijven.

De kern is een lucht-lucht warmtewisselaar met lamellen en eindtanks die aansluiten op de turboslangpijpen. Een geblokkeerde, lekkende of door impact beschadigde kern verlaagt de turbodruk en laadkoeling, wat ten koste gaat van het vermogen en de uitlaatgastemperaturen verhoogt. Inspecteer de kern en de slangaansluitingen op lekkages en beschadigingen.
