What is the M14 outer track rod end used for?
This M14 outer track rod end is the outer ball joint of the steering linkage on the Range Rover Sport L320. It threads onto the track rod and locates in the steering knuckle arm, carrying rack movement to the road wheel while following steering lock and suspension travel.
What's the difference between the M12 and M14 track rod ends?
The M14 version has the larger ball joint stud and fits Range Rover Sport L320 from VIN 9A191792 onward, including 2010-2013 cars. Earlier vehicles up to 9A191791 use the M12 joint. The sizes aren't interchangeable, so match the joint to your VIN.
How many track rod ends does the job take?
Two outer track rod ends are needed per vehicle, one each side, and they're best fitted as a pair. Reset the front wheel alignment after fitting to avoid uneven tyre wear.
