The turbocharger oil feed pipe delivers pressurised engine oil to the turbocharger on the Range Rover Classic 2.4L and 2.5L VM turbo diesel. It routes oil from the lubrication circuit to the turbo's centre bearing housing, lubricating and cooling the shaft bearings.

Why is the turbo oil feed pipe important to replace?

The oil feed pipe keeps the turbo bearings alive on the VM turbo diesel. A blocked, kinked, or leaking pipe starves the centre bearing of oil, which typically destroys the turbo in short order. Fitting a fresh pipe when working on the turbo protects that bearing.
