Remvloeistofreservoirdeksel met ingebouwde waarschuwingsschakelaar voor vloeistofniveau, voor het remvloeistofreservoir van de hoofdremcilinder.

Het deksel sluit de bovenkant van het remvloeistofreservoir af en bevat een vlottergestuurde niveauschakelaar die is aangesloten op het remwaarschuwingscircuit. Wanneer de vloeistof onder het minimumniveau zakt, sluit de schakelaar en gaat het remwaarschuwingslampje op het dashboard branden. Het wordt vervangen wanneer de afdichting is versleten of de niveauschakelaar niet langer correct signalen doorgeeft.

What does the RTC5831 brake fluid reservoir cap do?
The RTC5831 caps the brake master cylinder reservoir and carries an integral float-operated level switch. When fluid drops below minimum, the switch closes and lights the dashboard brake warning lamp. It's the genuine Land Rover cap with the fluid level warning function.
Which models use this cap with level switch?
This cap fits the Discovery 1 (1989-1998) and the Range Rover Classic (1986-1994 from VIN DA301158). Earlier Range Rover Classics before that VIN typically used a cap without the integral level switch, so check your VIN.
When should the reservoir cap be replaced?
Replace the cap when the seal has perished or the level switch stops signalling correctly, for example a brake warning lamp that stays on or never lights with low fluid. A poor seal can let moisture into the brake fluid.
