Hoofdkoppelingscilinder - hydraulische hoofdremcilinder in het koppelingsbedieningscircuit, voor TD4-dieseltoepassingen met links stuur.

Gemonteerd op de pedaalbox, zet het de kracht op het koppelingspedaal om in hydraulische druk. Bij het indrukken van het pedaal wordt vloeistof uit het reservoir via de cilinder naar de koppelingshulpcilinder verplaatst, die de koppeling vrijgeeft. De vloeistoftoevoer wordt geleverd vanuit het gedeelde rem- en koppelingsvloeistofreservoir.

Versleten interne afdichtingen veroorzaken een zacht of zinkend pedaal en onvolledige ontkoppeling, waardoor schakelen moeilijk of onmogelijk wordt.
