SU vlotternaaldklep regelt het brandstofpeil in de vlotterkamer van de carburateur op de 3.5L V8 benzinemotor die is uitgerust met dubbele SU carburateurs.

De naald wordt bediend door de vlotter: wanneer brandstof wordt afgetapt, zakt de vlotter en tilt de naald zich van zijn zitting om brandstof van de pomp toe te laten, waarna deze zich weer sluit wanneer het peil stijgt, waardoor de kamer op de ingestelde hoogte blijft. Een versleten naald of zitting leidt tot overstroming of brandstoftekort.
