STC4095 - Ombouwset

This is the timing belt update for the 2.5 litre 300Tdi diesel engine, listed as a belt update or conversion kit. It's typically fitted when bringing an earlier 300Tdi up to the later timing belt specification.

The 300Tdi is generally regarded as an interference engine, so a snapped timing belt typically lets the pistons strike the valves and causes major internal damage. That's why the belt drive is treated as a critical item rather than something left until it fails.
