De eenheid wordt in de ophanging geïnstalleerd met behulp van pen-op-pen-bevestigingspunten en regelt de verticale beweging van de ophanging door de oscillatie van de schroefveereenheid te dempen tijdens compressie en terugvering.

De schokdemper werkt als onderdeel van het dempingscircuit van de ophanging en draagt bij aan de stabiliteit van het voertuig, ascontrole en rijgedrag bij het rijden over oneffen terrein.

De demper is verstelbaar met vier selecteerbare dempingsstadia en is geconfigureerd voor toepassingen met een verlengde veerweg met ongeveer +5 inch toegenomen beweging. Geschikt voor installatie in de voor- of achterwielophanging van modellen die gebruikmaken van pen-type schokdemperbevestigingen.
