What does the front crossmember spacer kit do?
The front crossmember spacer kit uses alloy spacers to reposition the bolt-on front chassis crossmember so it clears the front propshaft. Fitting long-travel shocks increases axle droop, which can bring the propshaft into contact with the crossmember.
Which vehicle does this crossmember spacer kit fit?
This spacer kit fits the Discovery 2 (1998-2004), all engines. It repositions the bolt-on front crossmember on that model to clear the front propshaft once raised or long-travel suspension is fitted.
When do I need the crossmember spacers?
You need the spacers when running shock absorbers of up to +5" additional travel on the Discovery 2, where the extra axle droop brings the front propshaft into contact with the crossmember. The spacers set it clear so the suspension works without fouling.
