The TZB500010LR is the rear output shaft oil seal for the ZF 6HP26 and 6HP28 six-speed automatic transmission. It seals where the output shaft leaves the rear of the transmission housing on its way to the transfer box, retaining transmission fluid and keeping dirt and water out of the extension housing.

What are the signs this seal has failed?
A failed rear output shaft seal typically shows as fluid loss at the gearbox-to-transfer-box joint. Left unattended it can drop the transmission fluid level and let water into the extension housing, so it is renewed once a leak appears at that joint.
