YDB000121JZ - Parkeersensor

This is an ultrasonic Parking Distance Control (PDC) sensor for the Range Rover L322, mounted through the bumper cover. It sends an ultrasonic burst and listens for the echo, and the parking module converts the timing into an obstacle distance and drives the audible warning.

This sensor is supplied pre-painted in Monte Carlo Blue Micatallic, colour code JZ. If your vehicle is a different body colour, the unpainted sensor YDB100070 is the alternative and can be painted to match. Match your body colour before ordering.

Eight parking sensors are fitted per vehicle on this L322 application. They work as an array, so a single failed or water-ingressed sensor can degrade or disable the whole system. Faults are diagnosed to the individual sensor rather than the system.

This parking sensor fits the Range Rover L322 up to VIN 5A999999. It's now superseded by the unpainted YDB100070. Confirm your VIN falls within that range and note the colour code JZ before ordering.

The sensor is a push-fit into a retaining collar bonded to the bumper cover. Note the fitted orientation before removal, and keep the transducer face clear of paint, wax or road film, as a coated face weakens the ultrasonic signal and shortens detection range.
