Rotary Coupler bevindt zich bovenin de stuurkolom van het airbag (SRS) systeem, achter het stuurwiel.

Ook wel klokveer genoemd, zorgt het voor een continue elektrische verbinding tussen het draaiende stuurwiel en de vaste bedrading van de stuurkolom. Een opgerolde lintgeleider draagt de stroomcircuits van de bestuurdersairbag, claxon en stuurwielschakelaars over het volledige bereik van de stuurvergrendeling zonder dat de bedrading verdraait of breekt.
