Nokkenastandwiel - GEMS V8 is het distributiekettingtandwiel dat gemonteerd is op de nokkenas van de Rover GEMS 4.0L en 4.6L V8 benzinemotor.

Het tandwiel wordt aangedreven door de primaire distributieketting vanaf het krukastandwiel, waardoor de rotatie van de nokkenas wordt gesynchroniseerd met de krukas om de juiste kleptiming te behouden ten opzichte van de zuigerpositie. The camshaft sprocket is the timing chain sprocket on the front of the camshaft of the Rover GEMS 4.0L and 4.6L V8 petrol engine. Driven by the primary chain from the crankshaft, it synchronises camshaft and crankshaft rotation to maintain correct valve timing. It fits GEMS V8 Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover P38.

When should the camshaft sprocket be replaced?
