The locking washer locks the lower swivel pin retaining bolt on the swivel pin housing. Its tab is folded against the bolt to stop the lower swivel pin working loose in service. It fits the Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic front axle.

Can the swivel pin locking washer be reused?

No, treat the locking washer as single-use. The tab is bent flat to release the bolt and the metal fatigues once folded, so fit a fresh washer every time the lower swivel pin is disturbed to keep the fixing secure.
