Olievulring dicht de olievuldop af tegen de vulhals op het nokkenasdeksel (tuimelaardeksel).

Deze zit tussen de dop en de opening van het deksel en houdt motorolie binnen en voorkomt dat olienevel en dampen ontsnappen bij het vulpunt terwijl het carter afgesloten blijft. Wordt vervangen wanneer de afdichting hard wordt of de dop niet langer oliedicht is.

The oil filler seal seals the oil filler cap against the filler neck on the camshaft or rocker cover. It keeps engine oil contained and stops oil mist and fumes escaping at the filler point while the crankcase stays sealed.
When should the oil filler seal be replaced?
Replace the oil filler seal when it hardens, cracks or the cap no longer holds oil-tight. Typically you'll see oil weeping or misting around the filler cap, which means the seal has perished and is no longer sealing against the neck.
