Intercooler slangenset - Silicone Blauw voor het turbo- en intercooler-laadluchtcircuit op de Td5 2.5L 5-cilinder turbodieselmotor.

De set bestaat uit drie polyester-versterkte siliconen slangen die het gehele laadluchttraject bestrijken: de turbo-uitlaat naar de intercooler, de intercoolerbuis en de intercooleruitlaat naar het inlaatspruitstuk. De siliconen constructie is bestand tegen hogere laadluchttemperaturen en turbodruk dan standaard rubberen slangen, terwijl de versterkte wand voorkomt dat de slang uitzet en de turbodruk weglekt onder belasting.

What does the TD5 Intercooler Hose Kit do?

The Intercooler Hose Kit carries pressurised air through the turbocharger and intercooler circuit on the TD5 2.5L diesel Defender. Its three silicone hoses connect the turbo outlet to the intercooler, the intercooler to the charge air pipe, and the charge air pipe to the inlet manifold.

How many hoses come in the kit?

The kit contains three polyester-reinforced silicone hoses, covering every connection from the turbocharger outlet to the inlet manifold. One kit replaces the full set of intercooler boost hoses on a TD5 Defender, so you don't need to source them individually.

Why do the intercooler hoses fail on a TD5 Defender?

The intercooler hoses fail because heat and boost pressure make the original rubber perish, split, or blow off at the joints. This usually shows as power loss, black smoke, or a limp-mode warning. The silicone replacements resist heat better and reduce the risk of boost leaks.

Will this kit fit my Defender?

This kit fits the Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 from 1998 to 2006 with the TD5 engine. It won't fit the earlier 300Tdi or later 2.4 Puma engines, as their intercooler pipework differs. Confirm your Defender has the TD5 5-cylinder diesel before ordering.
