This kit covers the wear components for the front axle swivel assembly on ABS-equipped vehicles, including the swivel pin bearing, upper swivel pin, shims, oil seals, gaskets, joint washers, bearing plate, and swivel housing grease. It covers one side and excludes the housing itself.

Which Defender models use this ABS swivel repair kit?

This kit fits the Land Rover Defender 1986-2006 (chassis XA onwards) fitted with ABS. Confirm your Defender has ABS before ordering, as non-ABS models use a different swivel kit.

What's the difference between GA3180P and GA3180?

GA3180P is the repair kit for servicing an existing swivel housing and doesn't include the housing itself. GA3180 includes the full swivel housing assembly as well. Use GA3180P only if your current housing is still in good condition.

These typically wear from constant articulation and exposure to water and grit, showing up as stiff or notchy steering, oil seepage at the housing, or increased play at the stub axle. Replace seals and bearings as a set to stop fresh grease escaping through a worn seal.
