What is the swivel kit (GA3180) for?

The GA3180 swivel kit rebuilds one side of the front axle swivel joint, where the halfshaft and CV joint pass from the axle case into the stub axle. It includes the swivel housing, upper swivel pin, bearing, shims, oil seals, gaskets, bearing plate and grease.

Does one GA3180 kit cover both sides of the axle?

No, one GA3180 kit covers a single side of the front axle. To rebuild both swivels you'll need two kits. Check whether you're doing one side or a full axle overhaul before ordering.

Which Defenders does this kit fit?

This kit fits the Defender from the XA prefix (1999 model year) onwards, specifically those fitted with ABS. If your Defender doesn't have ABS, this isn't the correct kit, so confirm your braking setup before ordering.

What's the difference between GA3180 and GA3180P?
