Brandstofniveausensor en pompeenheid

Deze eenheid is geïnstalleerd in de brandstoftank en maakt deel uit van de brandstoftankpomp en montageset. De eenheid integreert de elektrische lagedrukbrandstofpomp met het mechanisme van de brandstofniveausensor.

De eenheid zuigt diesel uit de tank en levert deze via de brandstofleiding aan het brandstofinjectiesysteem van de motor, terwijl tegelijkertijd tankniveaugegevens naar het instrumentenpaneel worden verzonden.

Alleen ontworpen voor Td5-dieselconfiguraties, sluit het direct aan op de tankopening en afdichtring.

The fuel tank sender and pump assembly is an in-tank unit combining the electric fuel pump and the fuel level sender. It supplies diesel to the Td5 engine and sends tank level to the gauge. It fits the Defender Td5.

Which Defenders does this in-tank pump fit?

This assembly fits the Defender Td5 2.5L diesel, fitted from VIN WA159807. It is Td5 only, so it does not suit 300Tdi or later Puma models. Check your VIN to confirm.

Should the fuel filter be replaced when fitting this unit?

Yes, replace the in-tank fuel filter when fitting this pump and sender, otherwise the warranty is void. Also renew the O-ring seal ESR3806 at the tank aperture to prevent leaks.

Why do in-tank fuel pumps fail on the Td5?

In-tank fuel pumps wear and lose pressure, which causes hard starting, cutting out, or poor running on the Td5. A faulty sender float also gives incorrect fuel gauge readings.
