Frequently asked questions

What is the ANR5116 nut used for?
The ANR5116 is the securing nut for the front anti-roll bar drop link on the Land Rover Freelander 1 (1996-2006). It clamps the drop link to the suspension, holding the anti-roll bar connection tight. The companion drop link is RBM100172.
How many of these nuts do I need for a drop link job?
You'll typically need one ANR5116 per drop link end that uses it, and front drop links are usually replaced in pairs across the axle. If you're renewing both front drop links (RBM100172), order the matching nuts for each side so you're not refitting old fixings.
Should I reuse the old nut or fit a new one?
Fit a new ANR5116 rather than reusing the old one. Suspension securing nuts are typically self-locking and lose their grip once removed, so reusing one risks the drop link working loose. Replacing the nut whenever the front drop link (RBM100172) is disturbed is the safe approach.
