Dop expansievat koelvloeistof – de overdrukdop die het expansievat (reservoir) van het koelsysteem afdicht.

Afgesteld op 15 psi, houdt het de druk in het systeem om het kookpunt van de koelvloeistof te verhogen en ventileert het via een geïntegreerd ontlastventiel wanneer die druk wordt overschreden, waarbij koelvloeistof uit de overloop wordt teruggezogen wanneer het systeem afkoelt.
