Bump Stop (stootbuffer) – een stootbuffer voor de achterwielophanging die de opwaartse beweging van de as beperkt bij volledige compressie. Het gevormde rubberen blokje dempt het contact tussen as en chassis en absorbeert de impact van zware stoten en compressie onder zware belasting.

Het is boven de achteras gemonteerd en beschermt de veren, schokdempers en het chassis tegen beschadiging door doorslaan en regelt het einde van de veerweg. Een verouderde of ontbrekende stootbuffer veroorzaakt metaal-op-metaal contact en harde schokken bij hobbels.
