Sluit de gasklepas af waar deze door de behuizing van het gasklephuis loopt. Een defecte afdichting laat ongecontroleerde lucht in de inlaat toe, stroomafwaarts van de luchtmassameter, wat resulteert in een onregelmatig stationair toerental, grillige brandstoftoevoer en moeilijkheden bij het handhaven van een stabiel motortoerental.
