Remslangklem in het hydraulische remcircuit, om een flexibele remslang vast te zetten aan zijn bevestigingsbeugel waar de slang overgaat van het chassis naar een bewegende ophanging of ascomponent.

De klem vergrendelt in de sleuf van de beugel en grijpt in de groef van de slangeindfitting, waardoor de slang niet kan draaien of uittrekken onder hydraulische druk en veerweg. Dezelfde borgclip wordt ook gebruikt om de flexibele koppelingsslang aan zijn beugel te bevestigen.

What is the brake hose clip (EJP7813) used for?

The brake hose clip locks a flexible brake hose into its mounting bracket in the brake hydraulic circuit, where the hose crosses from the chassis to a moving suspension or axle component. It engages the groove on the hose end fitting to stop the hose rotating or pulling through under pressure. The same clip also retains the flexible clutch hose.

How many brake hose clips do I need?

You typically need one clip per flexible hose bracket. Land Rovers usually run several flexible brake hoses front and rear, so a full hydraulic overhaul often needs several. Check how many flexible hoses you're replacing and order one clip for each.

Should the clip be replaced when fitting a new brake hose?

It's good practice to fit a fresh clip whenever a flexible brake hose is disturbed. These spring-steel clips can lose tension or distort once removed, and a clip that doesn't hold the hose securely in its bracket risks the hose chafing or pulling loose. They're inexpensive next to the brake hose itself.
