Frequently asked questions

What is the CQB000150 tailgate glass and what does it do?
The CQB000150 is the heated glass panel for the rear side-hinged tailgate on the Land Rover Defender up to 2016. Its built-in demist element wires into the rear screen heater circuit to clear frost and condensation. This version has no aperture for a high-mounted stop lamp.
How do I know if this is the right tailgate glass for my Defender?
This glass fits Defender models from VIN 2A622424 and is the heated version without a cut-out for a high-mounted stop lamp. If your tailgate has a centre brake light, or you don't need the heated demist function, you'll need a different panel. Check your existing glass before ordering.
Is fitting the heated tailgate glass a DIY job?
Fitting the heated tailgate glass is usually a workshop job, as the demist element must connect to the Defender's rear heater circuit and the glass has to seat correctly in the tailgate frame. A sound electrical connection is needed for the heated function to work.
