What is the Td5 cylinder head set?
The Td5 cylinder head set supplies the ancillary seals and gaskets used around the cylinder head of the Td5 2.5 litre 5-cylinder turbo diesel when it is removed and refitted.
Does this set include the head gasket?
No. This set does not include the main cylinder head gasket. On the Td5 the head gasket is graded to piston protrusion and must be selected separately.
How do I know I need the LATE set and not the early one?
Check your engine number. The LATE set covers Defender Td5 engines from number 1A622424 and Discovery 2 Td5 from 2A736340. Earlier engines take the EARLY set (DA2112G-EARLY).
Which models does the LATE Td5 head set fit?
It fits the Land Rover Defender (1986 to 2006) and Discovery 2 (1998 to 2004) with the Td5 engine, on the later engine-number build. Confirm the engine number before ordering.
