Afsluitplug - Metrisch - Achterkant Cilinderkop dicht de opening van de achterste koelvloeistofgalerij in de cilinderkop van Land Rover 4-cilindermotoren af.

De achterkant van de cilinderkop heeft een bewerkt koelvloeistofkanaal dat tijdens de fabricage wordt afgesloten met deze metrische afsluitplug. Het voorkomt koelvloeistofverlies uit het cilinderkopblok en handhaaft de integriteit van het motorkoelsysteem. Vervanging is nodig als de plug corrodeert, lekt of wordt beschadigd tijdens een revisie van de cilinderkop.

Te gebruiken op 4-cilinder benzine- en niet-TDi dieselmotoren, inclusief de 2.25L benzine, 2.25L diesel, 2.5L benzine, 2.5L atmosferische diesel en 2.5L turbodiesel varianten.

What is the rear cylinder head blanking plug for?

The blanking plug seals the rear coolant gallery opening in the cylinder head on Land Rover 4-cylinder engines. The head casting has a machined coolant passage at the rear face that this metric plug closes off, keeping the cooling circuit sealed.

When does this blanking plug need replacing?

Replace the blanking plug if it corrodes, weeps, or gets disturbed during a cylinder head overhaul. Once the seal is compromised, coolant can escape from the head casting, so it's worth renewing while the head is off.

Which engines and models use this blanking plug?
