Frequently asked questions

What is the FQP000090 door lock link used for?
The FQP000090 is the left-hand door lock link, a threaded operating rod that transfers movement between the door latch and the lock mechanism on the Land Rover Defender. The threaded end lets you adjust the rod's length so the lock travel sets correctly on fitting.
Which side does this lock link fit, and what's the right-hand part?
This lock link fits the left-hand door on the Land Rover Defender (up to 2016), 90 and 110 wheelbase. The right-hand door uses FQP000080. Order by the side you're working on, as the two links aren't interchangeable.
How is the threaded lock link adjusted?
The threaded end of the lock link sets its effective length. Thread it in or out so the door lock travel is correct after fitting, with the lock fully engaging and releasing without binding. Setting it wrong leaves the door hard to lock or not latching fully.
