What does the fuel filter do on the 2.0 diesel?

The fuel filter removes contaminants and water from the diesel supply before it reaches the high-pressure injection system on the 2.0 Ingenium diesel (AJ200D / AJ20D4 / AJ21D4). It protects the fuel pump and injectors on Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque.

Does this fuel filter come with the foam pad?

The companion foam pad (LR079995) is ordered separately, so it's not included with this filter. If your job needs the foam pad as well, add it to your order alongside the filter.

Is LR111341 still the current fuel filter part number?

LR111341 has been superseded by LR155579, so both cover the same 2.0 diesel fuel filter application on Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque. Either number fits the same filter application.

Why does the fuel filter need replacing?

A diesel fuel filter clogs over its working life with trapped dirt and water, which restricts fuel flow and can cause rough running, power loss or hard starting on the 2.0 diesel. Replacing it protects the injection system.
