The petrol engine mounting is a rubber-to-metal anti-vibration mount that locates the engine on its mounting bracket and isolates engine vibration and movement from the vehicle structure. It's specified for four-cylinder and 2.6L six-cylinder petrol applications.

Engine mountings are typically replaced as a set, since the remaining mounts are usually the same age and similarly perished. Renewing them together keeps engine support balanced. This mounting is supplied individually, so order the quantity your job needs.

A failed engine mounting usually shows as increased engine vibration, clunks when accelerating or changing gear, and visible cracking or separation of the rubber. The bonded rubber perishes with age and heat, so mounts are commonly renewed once they soften, split or collapse.
