Deze uitschakelring wordt op de stuurkolom gemonteerd, onder de hendel van de richtingaanwijzer. Wanneer het stuur na een bocht terugkeert naar de middenstand, activeert de ring het zelfuitschakelmechanisme van de hendel, waardoor de richtingaanwijzerschakelaar automatisch terugkeert naar de uit-stand.

What is the NRC7636 indicator cancel ring used for?

The NRC7636 is the self-cancel striker ring that fits on the steering column beneath the indicator stalk. As the steering wheel returns towards centre after a turn, the ring trips the stalk's self-cancelling mechanism, returning the indicator switch to off automatically. It fits the Land Rover Defender.

What happens when the indicator cancel ring fails?

When the cancel ring wears or breaks, the indicators stop self-cancelling, so the stalk won't return to off on its own after a turn. You'll need to cancel each indication manually. A worn ring is a common cause of this fault on the Defender steering column.
