Frequently asked questions

What is the rear lower radius arm bush and what does it do?
The NTC1772HD is the rear lower link (bottom link) suspension bush. It presses into the link eye, cushions the pivot mounting, and helps locate the rear axle while letting the link articulate through suspension travel. It fits the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic.
What makes this the heavy-duty version?
The heavy-duty bush uses a firmer construction than the standard rubber bush for greater durability under load and off-road use. It trades a little ride comfort for longer life and tighter axle location, which suits heavily loaded, towing, or off-road Defenders and Discovery 1s.
How many rear lower radius arm bushes are needed?
Two rear lower link bushes are fitted per vehicle, one at each rear lower link. They're supplied individually, so a full refresh needs two. Replacing both together keeps the rear axle located evenly and is usually more efficient than doing one side at a time.
