The rear upper suspension arm bush is the front pivot bush for the rear upper arm on the Discovery 3 and Discovery 4. It forms the arm's forward mounting point, locating the arm while letting it articulate through suspension travel and isolating road vibration from the chassis.

What happens when this bush wears out?

A worn rear upper arm bush lets the arm move too freely, causing imprecise rear geometry, uneven tyre wear and knocking over rough surfaces. On the Discovery 3 and 4, a perished bush also affects rear alignment stability. Replacing it restores accurate location of the rear upper arm.
